Social Sciences 1SS3: Inquiry in the Social Sciences

For many decades, Social Sciences 1SS3 has introduced Level I undergraduate students to the hands-on research experience. The course is exceptional in several ways:

• You get to design and develop a research project of your own choice.
• The course has a small class size, achieved by having multiple separate ‘sections’  taught by different instructors.
• The course focuses primarily on research, critical thinking, writing, and research communication skills rather than primarily on any given content knowledge.
• The small class size and active learning style helps you to really get to know your peers, your instructor, and their ideas.
