Project Cycles: When To Get Involved Apply As A Student
The Student Partners Program runs on a cyclical model, with projects launching in both the Fall/Winter and Summer terms. Each cycle includes a call for student applications, a review period, and a hiring window.
You can apply to up to three projects per cycle, and each listing includes contact information for the project lead – so you can reach out with questions before applying.
Fall/Winter Cycle
Projects typically begin in January, with applications opening during the Fall term. This cycle includes a wide range of teaching and learning initiatives across faculties.
Summer Cycle
Projects usually launch in May, with applications opening in the Winter term. Some streams, like Online Course Design, may span multiple terms and offer extended funding.
If you’re interested in applying, keep an eye on the MacPherson Institute’s website for updates and deadlines. Opportunities are posted in advance, and roles are filled before each term begins.
